  May 8, 2020 - Pale Orange Salmon with medium plus optical density and very high, refined specular reflectivity. Juicy strawberry fruit on the nose, with some apricot and delicate gravel, slate, and florals on the back end. Fresh acidity on the palate with surprising density and weight, for a texture of lush juicy character, but still very dry to be sure. Flavours of bright strawberries in the attack, with some tart apricot filling things in. By midpalate, there is a savoury element to the fruit, giving a sense of smoked fruits, but not heavily so. Certainly there is a sense of richness and fullness to the flavours here, so that while pretty simple in flavour profile, it is pretty full in sensations. Finishes with a twist of light citrus and leaves a fresh, clean palate.
  
  This is an interesting and value-filled Rose wine. Great as a refreshment that is both easy-going delicious and full-bored powerful. Well-made summer wine an outstanding value that provides fun, simplicity, and a robust stature. Quite assertive and almost pushy, with a flair about it that harkens to a brash and bold Captain of yore. Would think this would be an outstanding crowd-pleasing drink for just about any occasion.
