March 3, 2021 - Decent 2003 shiraz with 15.5% alc. Surprisingly not that hot.. Reasonably balanced for what it is. Maybe better 10 years ago when the fruit was richer, but still pleasant and a very good pairing with chicken curry masala.

May 14, 2019 - Plush, yet aged Shiraz. More leather and tobacco, with blackberry and dark cherry fruit. Does not have the chocolatey richness of some better aged Shiraz. That said, this is pretty tasty, nice savoury notes with a little dried fig and blackberry finish.

November 18, 2018 - This was much better, more complex immediately after opening. After open for 2 hours became thin and somewhat acetic

October 16, 2018 - This was deep and rich in colour with only a little lightening at the rim. Nose seemed a little muted, blackberry and currant but not as expressive as expected. Palate had some nice sweetness but again seemed a little lacking. Think this was a little tainted.

December 13, 2016 - Full nose of ripe black fruit with distinct herbal/mint and meaty complexity. Medium bodied and exceptionally juicy in the mouth. The riper, fuller black fruit just floats across the palate. Real nice freshness and weightlessness. Big spice kick accents moderate depth and complexity. Well made and quite pleasing. Should hold for 5+ years.

August 21, 2016 - Last of three bottles tried over time. A bottle I tried few years ago had a cork that crumbled badly, and I had no high hopes for this bottle, thinking it was a risk to ty and probably faded. Was I ever wrong. It turned out to be one of the best wines I've had this year. Cork pulled solid, no infiltration, and stained inky black. Fruity bouquet upon opening. Smooth, fruit flavored but not excessive, no rough edges, tannins well integrated, wonderfully balanced, exceptionally well drinking wine. Aged for 13 years. When I buy a wine I think can aged and improve, this is what I want to experience when I finally open and enjoy. Tannins well developed and still a bit left but not intrusive. Last glass threw some sediment. Recommended.
