November 16, 2023 - Good BB, on the bit riper side of things (even in 2017). Drink now and soon.
December 5, 2021 - A rather tropical expression for 17, with apricot and peach. I think I would have said 16 if blinded. It’s a little clunky on the palate and with regard to alcohol, so I’ll say drink up.
December 4, 2021 - Pnp; nose is really nice with some smoky matchstick reduction, green tropical fruits, sunshine. Palate is very balanced, medium acidity, slightly grippy but also sightly rich. More small green fruits, pineapple, stones. Paired well with a pan-seared halibut. Excellent Bourgogne Blanc.
November 15, 2021 - Last bottle. Solid.
October 27, 2021 - Better than Leroux, not quite as good as the Francois Carillon, Thomas Morey or Lafon.
September 6, 2021 - This was nice, but I prefer the 2017 Francois Carillon Bourgogne over this.
August 20, 2021 - For the level, just fantastic. Lots of matchstick reduction. So much so I had a slight headache the next day. Good concentration with lemon curd, white peach, and for my $$ it may be the best Bourgogne Blanc of the 17 vintage i tastedincluding PYCM, Carillon, Roulot. Dancer might be as good, and a little more exotic. This wine will certainly improve with a few more years in the cellar.
August 31, 2020 - Pnp.
August 30, 2020 - Straw yellow and dusty hue. Med+ intense bouquet w. lime, lemon and white sone fruits. Dry w. med(+) acidity and med body. Somewhat exotic profile with lime and peach. Lacks a bit acidity compared to wines at the village level but got plenty of minerality.
Overall, tastes of more than just a basic blanc.
July 2, 2020 - A small gathering with COVID safety measures (Reston, Va): I get banana, grapefruit, white peach and lychee, making me to guess Valentini. Relatively light and refreshing, bright acidity and medium mineral, a medium finish with slightly bitter end. This is a good summer quaffer.
