October 16, 2008 - Trip to France; 10/13/2008-10/24/2008 (Burgundy, Rhone Valley (Chateauneuf-du-Pape), Paris): Closed nose with some cherry, herbal notes and licorice. Firm closed palate with little fruit, sour mid palate with green notes and short finish. Not great.

February 14, 2007 - Ruby red in color. Nose: big cherry, sour cherry, some earthy funk. Palate: round cherry upfront, lots of flavor, but very dry, soft mouthfeel, vibrant acidity mid palate leading to a long mouth watering finish.
