Community Tasting Notes 6

November 4, 2022 - Mencia from 60 years old vines, aged 9 months in French and American oak barrels, 14.5% vol.

Araber, Bern. PnP. On the nose fresh, sour cherry and herbs, on the palate good freshness, smooth tannin, medium+ bodied with a sweet touch from ripe fruits, medium+ length.

Has nicely developed within the last 2 years, can age some more years but is not for the very long run.

July 8, 2021 - For all its weight, this is medium bodied with attractive earthy tannins

    Dark berries, dark spice

May 30, 2020 - PnP. Very young appearance, lot of red fruits and cherries, good integrated notes from the oak, fresh medium+ bodied and finish. Rather elegant, not very complex yet but was already very good at BBQ. Drink now or within the next six years, 89+.

September 12, 2019 - Deep purple. Dark fruits, a touch of clove and some wood in the background. Medium body with already a round profile on the palate, you get again a darker profile of fruit, suggestion of spicy and some wood in the background. Medium finish with medium acidity and some astringency to be solved in the tannins. Well made no doubt but short of great adjectives. Could use a couple of years in the dark.
