May 9, 2019 - Dinner in a Trieste restaurant; quick note from memory a couple of days later. Amazingly austere with deep evolved fruit. I never had a schioppettino like this one. Not that I have had dozens, but still... This varietal does have real potential, so it seems.
Scored it even if the excellent dinner and atmosphere in Il Bagatto may have biased my opinion. The papardelle con la salsa d'anatra are really excellent and the wine paired wonderfully well with the dish.
