November 2, 2021 - Peach, floral, citrus cut. In a really nice palace.

May 30, 2021 - Echoing others, a really well-developed wine... tons of complex tropical and floral fruit with a nice grippy acidity, with strong body and notes of straw and more. Definitely benefited from some time.

May 21, 2021 - Nose: gorgeous lemon oil, lemon blossom, honeysuckle, fresh wool, hot wax, Asian pear, nectarine skin, a touch of brandy butter. Vibrant, full of life - this is extremely compelling stuff. Palate: superb juicy acidity on entry tempered by a deeply savory mid-palate. Nutshell and brûléed citrus peel. For a wine of such low alcohol, there is a remarkable amount of weight and depth here. A couple years in bottle has served this wine well and it currently sits in a wonderful place between youth and maturity, exhibiting the best of both worlds. No rush, but a joy to drink right now. 11.5%, $32.

May 20, 2021 - Resiny nose with notes of peach and marmalade. Sappy feel showing some glycerin in the midpalate. Snappy finish. More savory on the palate than one might expect. It's a more secondary expressive sort of white which is rare from California and not simply because it was picked early or doesn't have any oomph. This has plenty of density. It's been handled with care. Another unique wine from Halcon. If you aren't paying attention by now get on the train while you can.

July 23, 2020 - Clear golden color. White flowers, peach pit, some citrus, acid on the finish. A little oily texture, but not overly so. It has a nice richness to it without being heavy. I like the uniqueness of the wine.
