February 21, 2023 - Good structure and aromatics for the price but this is just too big, hot, and sunscorched-ripe for me. I’m glad I only bought a handful of Piedmont/Tuscany 2017s because that handful has been enough to know this vintage isn’t for me.

January 3, 2023 - Deep purple, the nose is alive with ripe morello cherry, ripe blackberry, iris flowers, raspberry, Szechuan pepper and an iron filling note.
The entry is hard with a firm acid and metallic, stony note but slowly opens to reveal a more juicy core with cherry flesh, blue flowers, frozen berries, spice and a twist of liquorice.
The wine exhibits lovely concentration, and vibrant, crunchy acidity giving a gum-clenching texture as the acid runs right through this wine. The tannins are dense and thick, and the finish is long with a nicely balanced alcohol. Excellent with our pizza!

March 26, 2022 - Nice Barbera!! A bit more full bodied than most and some of the earthier notes shine here. More muted cherry on the palette with underlying floral stones grounded in a mineraly-ness.

January 24, 2022 - Vin avec encore une belle acidité. C'est long en bouche avec des notes de cerise à l'eau de vie. Très bon avec le canard. 91 sur 100.

December 18, 2021 - I think this bottle might have been peaking when I tasted it this time around. It was SO juicy and concentrated. I've enjoyed it every time but it felt different and flourishing.
