    February 1, 2022 - Note: I use the recommended scale -- 85 is a very good wine.

My opinion is similar to that of Dulcie and Aylwin. Very nice bottle that has held up well over time.
Flavors not particularly pronounced, but apparent and enjoyable.
Could also be my impaired sense of smell -- head cold.
May have been slightly better on Day 2.

I have two more -- time to drink up.

August 2, 2020 - I've had this for a while: a purchase dating back to the old Sams days; oh such bargains to be had then, if one's timing was right. This not an increable bargain but a decent price. It has lasted well. Slight brick appearing in the body and a pale rim. Somewhat subdued aroma but plenty of fruit on the palate: pretty "masculine" (if we should still use such sexist terminology), a bit of an edge to it; overriding tart cherry; I agree with some on the dimensionality but hey it is a village wine.

March 10, 2019 - Tart fruit. A hint of funk. A bit light at the tip. Not bad.

December 26, 2016 - Drank yesterday with the turkey. Had this wine a year or so ago and my notes are consistent. The wine has plenty of life left but it's very light in style, one-dimensional and mostly fruit-driven.

April 1, 2016 - fairly primary tart cherry/raspberry fruit, some game deep in background that came out in glass; a lot of structure and still plenty of life left; but ultimately somewhat disappointing in complexity; a lesson that vintage quality can't make up for so-so terroir

April 25, 2015 - Light bodied full flavored pinot. Not incredibly "burgundian" but enjoyable non-the-less.

March 21, 2015 - PnD let air for 30 mins. Bright fresh and vigorous with a touch of earth and a meaty note. Could handle a steak.

March 12, 2015 - Drank at Mistral with the VT group alongside a 2008 Oregon. This burg had a feint nose of berries. Medium to light bodied, some raspberries, sour cherries, some spice and smoke. A bit light on the fruit and quite tart. Not a particularly strong showing. The 08 Illahe was far more enjoyable
