March 7, 2024 - Much paler, salmon pink colour than the dp. Very sweet, bubblegum nose and attack on initial pouring. Complete and supple on the palate and full through the finish. Last sip overly sweet with nites of black treacle and the dosage sticking out a bit but overall in a much better place than the dp was. My 3rd favourite on the night.
August 2, 2023 - Deep orange color. Hints of wood roasted almonds and fruits. Very fine bubbles full bodied well balanced with excellent length
July 23, 2023 - Fabulous, and as always, thankful that this had a superb cork, rendering the wine very fresh, totally on point, etc. Long, super graceful and poignant, this ticked all the boxes. Well cellared bottles can go longer, but it's so good now, I'd not wait at all. highly recommended
May 4, 2023 - Delicate mousse and fruit. Effortless
December 1, 2022 - Served blind. Pale pink colour. Delicate, precise, elegant.
May 7, 2022 - Ruinart's 2004 Brut Rosé is Aperol in color, with an appealing nose of apple, wild berry, and pot pourri. Bright and elegant, with berry and marzipan on the palate. In peak drinking window now.
November 13, 2021 - La Fete: Gala Dinner (Chelsea Piers: Pier 60): Starting to show a bit of age or could also be because it was served around a lot of the grower style. Lots of red berries. Getting a bit of the sweet here again.
September 29, 2020 - Lots of apple with more than a hint of berry. Plenty of fruit to start, followed by a burst of engaging energy from middle through long, bright finish. In its peak drinking window.
August 22, 2020 - Light salmon pink in the glass. Nose gives waves of strawberry, violets & roses, some citrus rind and a touch of brioche. Very soft expression with a beautifully delicate mousse - like drinking candy from a glass. Doesn’t have much depth, but it’s an enjoyable Champagne nonetheless. Don’t know if I’d pay $300 for it though.
March 12, 2020 - Last wine of the evening. This was quite young, a touch tight, but drinking well. Good red fruits. It's interesting.
