March 13, 2021 - Consistent with earlier notes. A nice mature wine with earthy notes along the classic Hermitage power but all the edges has softened now. In my view at peak now with no rush.

September 22, 2020 - Catch Up @ Bruno's!: This was amazing tonight from the start and reminded me again of the prowess of Le Pavillons. So much clarity of fruit and vibrance. Enjoyed every sip of this tonight. In this prime. Don't hold back if you got a bottle, although this has legs to go. Open up! 94/95

August 24, 2019 - We were looking for a mature wine and we got that. Slightly bricking colour with mature meaty and earthy flavours. Very nice Northern Rhone power with soft tannins but it lacks the depth to be great. At a nice spot but not likely to improve from here.

August 24, 2018 - Austin Offline; 8/24/2018-8/25/2018 (Kevin's House): From magnum. Pure garnet color, very age-appropriate. Very savory nose, mostly pork salami. Not a lot of fruit or weight on the palate, but nicely balanced for food, still showing nice acidity and mild tannins. This was great drinking with a pork paella.

June 18, 2018 - Still alive but lacking punch and depth. I‘d rather sell than drink this wine...

January 5, 2018 - 1993 M. CHAPOUTIER le PAVILLON ERMITAGE- medium red colour; this had a big nose and a small body of work; after getting serious aromatics of spicy red cherry, the taste was more subdued with nice red fruit and a touch of spice delivered in a soft, easy on the palate texture; this had elegance and finesse and had good balance.

May 22, 2017 - Losing a bit of its sparkle but acceptable but I'm not a huge fan of this style after several examples
