April 2, 2024 - Lean, dry, violets, dried herbs, some graphite. Easy drinking. Great food wine.
April 8, 2023 - On opening, great perfumed nose, middleweight style for a cab franc. Dark red berries, graphite. Unfortunately, just can’t get away from the vegetal green bite on the finish. Better than last bottle but not something I would buy again.
August 4, 2022 - Seems like a different wine than some of the prior notes. Not really any brett. Some herbaceousness, and a little strong, pine, sage, mint, but also decent fruit to balance it. Nothing fancy, but not bad. Enjoyable on a weeknight.
April 30, 2022 - Must be drinking something different than others who commented - good or bad. This bottle was dominated by bitter green herbaceous flavors. Fruit tried to shine through but could not. Day two was slightly better, but bitterness persisted.
December 21, 2020 - Brett was excessive for my taste; wine is still quite taut at this time. Would recommend holding for at least another couple years. But that brett...
August 30, 2020 - Lola 45 à St-Sauveur avec papa
May 13, 2020 - Drinking well. Good value. Well balanced, easy drinking. Brett was there but less dominating than I remember in last bottle.
March 27, 2020 - Followed over 2 days. Almost fully opaque purple color, clear and sound, no sediment. The profound bouquet is funky and has a lot of brett to start off but over time it backs off and leaves behind a dark, leather, iron, and blood profile. It really started to soar around the 3-hr mark and revealed more fruit sweetness and complexity. Overall, it still seems very young and wound up with glimpses of magic throughout the night. Unexpectedly though, it lost some of that magic overnight. I still think it could use another 2 years of rest. Good match for poultry dishes.
5+12+16+8= 91
January 2, 2020 - Drinkable and deep, but might include some brett, which I used to like, but now I am sensitive to it.
December 2, 2019 - Some atypical funk with some effervescent zip, all in a interesting way though. Would not seek out to replace.
