December 17, 2014 - Very nice, ample fruit, some cola, medium-bodied. No suggestion that this is in any decline yet.
August 6, 2011 - Finally starting to come around. On the nose, raspberry and forest floor with a nice dash of citrus and a touch of smoke. Palate is more raspberry and citrus, with a lot of acidity and some oak. Still a bit heavy handed, but enjoyable.

March 20, 2011 - 14.8% alcohol. The final bottle, and we probably got it while it's still in a really good place. Black cherry color. Pretty nose of black cherry, blackberry, baking spice, and minerals. In the mouth, a beautiful texture, with velvety cherry and blackberry notes that roll across the tongue, saved from making you think they might be too ripe by warm baking spice and bright acidity. Long finish shows that, perhaps before too many more months, it will show a bit of heat. But just lovely now. A-
October 11, 2010 - 14.8% alcohol. I think it's safe to say this wine probably is at its peak. Black cherry color. Perfumed nose of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, and baking spice. In the mouth, velvety and delicious, with gobs of dark Pinot fruit. Starting to show a touch of heat on the finish, at least in this bottle, but still providing terrific drinking pleasure. A-
July 25, 2010 - Drank over 3 days. Still needed some air time to come out, but not as vibrant as the previous bottle. It seems to have lost some fruit and no good secondary flavors have replaced it.
May 18, 2010 - I still liked this wine a lot, but I think I liked it better the last time I had it. I would say this is not quite as powerful as a Kosta Browne and it does have a little bit...not a lot...more finesse. Happy to drink it.
May 13, 2010 - Nose of cola, red fruits and a hint of spice. A burst of multi-layered, rich flavors on the palate - ripe black and sour cherry and a good dose of spice. Medium body with a velvety, smooth mouthfeel, great balance, just slightly drying tannins and good grip. Just a hint of tartness on the medium, fruity finish. The aromas, flavors and texture are textbook RRV - but also has more intensity and depth than a typical RRV. Very nice.
April 28, 2010 - 14.8% alcohol. Really is drinking marvelously. Hard to imagine it getting better. Spice-edged black cherry just coats your palate. Enough acidity remains to keep it from losing focus on the back end. Really delicious. A-
