August 21, 2020 - Much prefer genuine Primitivo over most Zinfandels, which is the US name for the same grape originating from Croatia. The thing with both though is this certain tartness, not really acidicity, but like this tartness. Like tart cherry, but not with quite really the red fruit. Solid value for money. Some tannins and some acidicity even. Just that the fruit is, for me, a little offputting. Somehow tart. Again, not offending, just not inviting. Like Primitivo/Zinfandel tends to be.

September 26, 2019 - Full body, bright garnet color. Intense ripe fruits and smoky wood aroma. Cherry jam palate and and spicy finish. Simple and slightly vulgar, loses balanced because high sugar, gentle acidity and weak tannins. Well pairs with sour-sweet meat dishes. Open about half hour ahead. Serve 14º - 17º. Drink now.
