March 23, 2017 - Very corked
February 15, 2017 - Pretty good, pleasant pinot-ness in an easy to appreciate package. Needed about 30 mins of air, and then it was in the zone. Mid-modern style, just a bit spicy/dark fruited. Best served slightly chilled, as some booze heat peaked out as this warmed up.
June 29, 2016 - The profound spiciness and fruit sweetness has sloughed off leaving a core of bitter and tart cranberry juice. There's a bit of cherry skin hanging in there but it's showing a lot of rhubarb. Good, but not close to the level these bottles were at 4-5 years ago. Or maybe my tastes have just changed.
June 12, 2016 - Intense, dark, good fruit but more about its mineral, medicinal side. Very good. 90-91 pts.
November 21, 2014 - Popped an poured. Thick and rich. A bit of salty mineral. Excellent, but not a great QPR for me.
July 27, 2014 - No decant and none recommended as it did not improve with air. This wine is singing right now. Explosive, integrated and balanced. All at dinner loved it. Memorable.
May 13, 2014 - Elegant wine with a very expressive, perfumed nose. A delight.
February 12, 2014 - No decant - started fresh and beautifully balanced and integrated. After about an hour of sipping, bitterness set in in and increased. Start score 93+, end score 91. Either hold for some unknown future or drink now with no decant.
January 3, 2014 - Wow, everything you could ask for from Cali Pinot.
December 1, 2013 - Pours fairly dark. Dark fruits, cherry cola, cinnamon and cassis on nose. Pretty one dimensional on palate without food, gains a little earthiness with food. Lacking in the acidity department and overall a bit of a disappointment. Over priced @ $50 six years ago.
