February 7, 2020 - Tomato stew, graphite, and some late tannins. An interesting drink and we enjoyed it for what it was, but this didn't blow anyone away and was probably past peak.

  • Cunningham Likes this wine:

July 3, 2015 - 4/5. With salmon and potato salad.

  • Cote d'Or Likes this wine:

    June 24, 2014 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
    -very minimal fading/browning
-moderately aromatic with red fruits, earth, cherry, savory, rhubarb, mild '04 characteristic
-med+/high acidity, med concentration and weight, similar elements on palate as nose, slightly dried out and clipped finish, not much complexity
-very '04 in its savory components and mild pryrazines and slightly dried out finish, though despite these elements this matched very well to Epoisses, overall this isn't a profound wine to sip on its own but with the right food match it provides a very pleasant red Burg experience, suspect this is near or at peak maturity

February 21, 2014 - Ok for a burgundy, but not up to par for a 1er cru. Very light body, cola, a hint of earthiness and a slight barnyard character. Overall good pinot but not great.

May 22, 2012 - Garnet color and a weak nose. Body is light with sour red berry fruits and a hint of leather. Short tannic finish. Perhaps my palate is more attuned to the local Oregon Pinots but this one just doesn't have the body or fruit for me.
