March 6, 2022 - Love it! Higher acidity, lower tannin. Carbonic maceration. A great food wine. Put a slight chill on it for drinking. (I started my wine journey in Germany when I lived there for several years, so my preference is for lighter wines like this. I shrug my shoulders at big, hedonistic reds.) Strawberries, cranberries, red cherries. I will order more from Sans Liege!

August 7, 2021 - Lovely deep ruby with very good clarity; a few bubbles on days 1 &2. Medium legs. Selectively red and black fruit forward: red currant, cranberry, raspberry, black and sour cherry. Minor hint of eucalyptus and black pepper just discernable. Medium body, bright and juicy texture. Medium + finish and just below high acidity. The acidity really amps up the finish. Impression: very pleasant interesting wine. Vaguely reminiscent of Sangiovese and Grenache, but fuller in body and greater acid. Complexity; keeps drawing you back as wine temperature changes. I stored in the refrigerator because, at the tasting room, the wine was noted to be a "chillable red". But I'd pour a glass 15-30 minutes before drinking rather than right out of the frig. Better taste, better finish. At $20, QPR just above average. Drink now.

August 2, 2021 - Tasted blind. Correctly identified as Counoise (it was my wine).
Pale to medium ruby, just a bit of bricking on the edges. Earthy, savory, leathery notes galore; Raspberry, dark cherry, licorice, and pepper. Acid and tannin are subtle in structure. Definite rhone-varietal feel... would have thought Grenache had I not picked Counoise for the tasting.1 person found this helpful Comment -

March 19, 2020 - Fresh, bright raspberry-cranberry palette, with a brilliant acidity and attractive touch of barnyard. Light, fruity, and young. Nice wine with a great QPR.
