July 22, 2020 - Deep, dark garnet color. Medley of berries with sweet saddle leather and flint. Bright, vibrant palate with dry tannins on the back end. Energizes the palate with incredible mouthfeel that goes on and on. Really beautiful wine - love how it’s drinking at this age and excited to have waited 2 decades. Very curious to see how it evolves over time, but ready to crack the next bottle.

July 11, 2020 - sexy nose - toast, composted hay, turned earth, sweet funk
mouth - sappy dark fruit, with nice funk. ripe but all in balance. very smooth dusty tannins. This wine really crushed it tonight. Right in its drinking window methinks. Exhilarating

March 22, 2020 - Decanted 4 hours. Nice palate and nose that continued to blossom over the following 2 hours with increasing complexity, being best just before gone. Probably a bit early for this one, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

February 12, 2020 - From a pristine bottle likely purchased on release, decanted 4+ hours.

Quite weird. Tons of greenness, particularly loads dill. Tasted like a cool vintage Napa Cab with American oak notes. Perhaps they use a weird toast on the barrels? A bit modern styled as well, ie. fruit and oak. Dill and tannins on the palate. Over-paled, I’d say. This showed poorly in a flight of 4 St Julien and two St. Emilion.
