March 14, 2024 - bjamesclark hits the nail. Bought at an auction for about € 20, it has a reasonable PQR. But in the end, for me - a riesling adapt - it lacks acidity/minerality, while the aftertaste is somewhat disappointing: hence my slightly lower rating

April 4, 2022 - 80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne. Fermented and aged in 50% 1 year old Burgundy barrels, 50% stainless steel. No Malo.
Attractive straw-gold color in the glass.
The nose shows aromas of pear, nectarine, mandarin, orchard blossoms, acacia, white tea, river stone and minerals.
The palate shows round fleshy textures with moderate phenolics and juicy acidity. Flavors of poached pears, honeyed golden apples, nectarine, orange blossom, white tea, saline, minerals and a hint of white pepper and bitter almond on the finish that lingers moderately.

June 23, 2021 - Tasted blind. Clear, deep lemon. Med (+) aromas of bruised apple, ripe lemon, subtle white flowers, a leesy/nutty slightly oxidative note, with a touch of honey and very subtle French oak spice (50% is aged for one year in used barrels). Dry, with med acidity, med to med (+) alcohol (13%). The palate is much more mineral-driven than the nose. Med (+) body, flavor intensity and length, with an oily mouthfeel and a slight phenolic bitter almond note on the finish. Good to very good quality. Drink, not likely to improve with further aging. 80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne.

Old World, moderate to warm climate. Possible varieties/appellations include Pinot Gris (Alsace), Rhone White blend, Loire Chenin Blanc, Viognier, or perhaps a Godello, aged Verdejo or white Priorat. The relatively lower acidity rules out the Chenin. The relatively subdued aromatics rule out the Viognier. The minerality and quality point to Hermitage or Priorat.

June 12, 2021 - Joli blanc au profil gourmand et suave, bouquet expressif de miel, coing, apricot, citron et lime; bel accord avec cette belle journée ensoleillée!
