May 25, 2022 - Clear deep purple/ruby; clean medium plus nose of cassis, dry soil, brambleberry, barnyard and baking spices; dry; high acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa, tar and bacon; long finish; drink now or in 5 to 10 years; fantastic wine - Hermitage-like in its intensity and complexity; tasted at winery

May 16, 2022 - This is killer Syrah. Smoked meat, white flowers, black pepper, spice box, blackberries and tilled soil on the nose. Super fresh and taut, with expressive but contained fruit and lovely acidity and structure. Tannin is well integrated and the overall tension is notable. Good length and impressive finish.

March 30, 2022 - I do not have enough experience with Syrah and thus, will not score. That being said, this wine is dark fruits all day long, with hints of floral and deep color. I really need to try more Syrahs so I can better appreciate this varietal. I have the same problem with Pinot and it is my own fault for being a bit of a one trick pony with surrounding myself mainly with CS and Bordeaux blend wines.
