December 20, 2020 - Vibrant nose and mid-palate with raspberries and cherries and spicy notes on the long ending. Muscular tannins for a Pinot noir - this comes together truly nicely.

November 26, 2020 - Pours light in the glass, completely transparent ruby with flecks of pink and purple. The expressive nose shows beetroot, apple peel, raspberry bush, rose petal, cherry pit, thyme, and vague pepper. Complex for sure. The palate has lovely sweet/savory balance with bright red fruited acid and medium minus tannin. A NZ classic. Quite nice!

November 13, 2020 - Quality NZ Pinot Noir.

Crushed rose petals, floral character. Fruit and mineral behind. A little bit musty. Not as cola as a traditional Pinot but pleasant.

Quite Tart/sour. Lingering fruit on the palate. Mineralic and dry. Low sweetness.

Quality NZ Pinot Noir. Lacks a bit of the cola notes but otherwise solid.

October 31, 2020 - A wonderfully light, vivacious, and very expressive Pinot Noir. The style is quite different than the Pinots from Oregon and Burgundy, which tend to be darker and broodier. Right from the first pour one can discern a lighter style wine. It has a lovely pinkish red color like that of a Rob Roy cocktail. But please don’t be fooled that light means insipid. The very expressive bouquet is the first invitation to a delectable wine. The first sip has a rainbow of flavors explode on the palate. Notes of cherries, raspberries, pomegranate, rose petals, star anise, and tobacco. The medium+ acidity is so well integrated with the supple tannins that, in the finish, flavors pirouette on the tongue long after the wine is sipped. The lightness of the wine allows for it to showcase such a layered array of flavors that my words find it difficult to capture them. If the Pinot Noirs from western US and eastern France are oil paintings, then this is a wonderful watercolor. I have a hunch that this shall be a hit with the ladies, specially in the warmer months. WS 93 pts (#46 on 2019 Top 100 list) shines the light on a wonderful wine from Central Otago, NZ. Highly recommended!

October 26, 2020 - Robe très claire, mais un vin de grande qualité avec des arômes de cerise, un peu de pâte de fruit séchée (fruit rolls).
