February 27, 2024 - A Diverse Set of Wines in Honor of a Visiting Friend (Los Olivos, CA): Slow-ox'ed for about 6 hours. A muted nose set our expectations low, as did the translucent rust appearance, but there was a lot to enjoy in the glass. No structure to speak of, but there were some soft cherry notes along with sweet spices and a bit of mint. An elegant wine I was happy to return to.

February 19, 2023 - Camphor nose. Amazing that it still shows tannins at this age. Dried currants on palate. Amazing wine

September 10, 2022 - Very solid bottle. Stood up for 6 days prior to opening. Opened 7 hours prior to drinking, could have used even more open time. Medium bricking. Medium+ body, a bit of minerality/bitterness on the finish. Will search for more.

October 13, 2021 - Another winner from this bottle. Just such a clean, pretty representation of old barolo. Tannins well integrated with a one hour decant. Fruit still showing nicely. Great value, and great pairing with lamb rib chops.
