  September 30, 2023 - Double decanted for about an hour. The color was medium garnet with notable bricking and thinning at the rim. Quite an intense nose dominated by earthy dust, dried tobacco, spiced vanilla, but also with classic red cherry and plum, starting to show some tertiary character. The palate was equally intense with concentrated red fruits that are tied together with medium acid and medium minus tannin on the finish. Really just everything you are looking for in Brunello at this price point; the concentration, the complexity, the varietal correctness. I would say this might be leaning into a bit of the modern Brunello style with prominent French oak and ripe red fruits, but does not over do it from my perspective. Just entering its drinking window and you can drink this from now until around 2030.

  August 6, 2023 - See previous notes. Beautiful garnet in glass. Medium plus intensity on the nose. Black cherries, feral, camphor and licorice. Open for business. Beautifully balanced. Best bottle of the three I’ve consumed.

  May 19, 2023 - Beautiful wine. Purple brown hue, modest fruity nose. Big first Brunello burst, dark fruits - cherries, currants, pepper, spice finishing into a long barn and pepper cheek smackingly dry finish. Long linger. Drinking well now.

  May 6, 2023 - Lots of cherry and dust, I think this is just beginning to enter its drinking window. We thoroughly enjoyed it, even though it was consumed towards the end of dinner and with little food.

  April 5, 2023 - Bricking med ruby - floral fragrance with herbs, dirt, and raspberry/plum fruit too - as alluring the nose may be the wine really lights up the palate with electric spicy tannic and acidic structure. Glad I have a case plus of this beaut.
