May 31, 2022 - Nicely sweet with a mineral streak, making for a complex, tasty mouthful…finishing long. The absence of oak is notable, especially in the smooth finish.

November 9, 2020 - Purple in color. 14.7% ABV. Savory nose of black fruits, bacon fat and olive brine. Full bodied with strong acidity. Dark and brooding. Black cherry, blackberry, charred meats and minerals on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish with firm tannins. The best Levitation to date. Really delicious Syrah that will benefit with time in the cellar. Best over the next 5-7 years.

July 10, 2020 - Visit to Sleight of Hand in Walla Walla (Walla Walla Sleight of Hand Tasting Room): Medium purple color. Peppers and herbs on the nose. Dark red fruits and spice on the palate. Good grip. Excellent balance. Good persistence on the finish.

June 4, 2020 - This is a delicious, well balanced wine, that packs quite a wallop in this young stage!

The attack is sharp with tart fruit. After lingering on for some time, the midpalate introduces darker fruit, with a thick, bacon fat mouthfeel. The tannins slowly build and direct you to a long finish with notes of pepper, soot, and dark roast coffee.

This definitely has the stuffing to age 5 years or more, if you can wait that long.
