July 13, 2022 - Medium garnet. Medium intensity on the nose with aromas of roses, strawberries, red cherry, dried cherries and herbs, cedar, mushroom, earth, barnyard, savoury. Developing.
The wine is dry, medium plus acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol, medium bodied. It is medium intensity on the palate with flavors of strawberry, red cherry, dried herbs. Medium plus finished.
The wine is very good. Balanced, good length and complexity. Drink now, no further aging potential. -

July 10, 2022 - Red fruit, mushrooms, forest floor, red cherries, a bit of cedar, and spices on the nose. Nice acidity with more red fruit character, underwood, and more mushrooms on the palate. Nice finish. This seems to be fully mature and drinking at peak right now Will keep for a number of years, but I doubt it will get any better.

June 22, 2022 - Exactly what good 1e burg should be - pretty and crystalline red fruits with a subtle candied sweetness and light spice notes. Light-to-middleweight with good palate length and moderate intensity.

June 18, 2022 - lovely strawberries, and very attractive structure. Not the most dynamic or complex Volnay but worth the tariff.
