August 2, 2021 - 2018 Jacques Carillon Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Canet
Jacques uncorked this and we drank it with the lobster and then segued into the French cheeses, Selles sur Cher and Tomme grise de chèvre, what was the third one? What a treat! Balancing a lightness on its feet with ripeness and honesty to its terroir, it was an absolute midsummer's night dream with the lobster and cheese.
Rating: 96 points.

February 14, 2020 - Burgundy, Day 4 (Beaune, France): Tank sample. This is from a plot next to Meursault. A more open and easygoing wine, with some tart citrus fruits (meyer lemon) but also a very pleasant sweetness from the riper fruit. Linear and precise, this was surprisingly open and expressive already.
