September 28, 2023 - Lacked depth of fruit but had a nice finish. Hard to believe this has been sitting too long. Has been stored exceptionally well.

December 6, 2019 - Wow, massive Volnay. Big tannins, big texture, full in the mouth. Nose had tons of tobacco and dried fruit. Impressive power, structure to keep going for years.

December 22, 2018 - Holiday Champagne Gala (Park Ridge Country Club): Small glass, brief note. Red and black cherry with floral aromas. Still firm and slightly backward, but the density and power makes me confident this will develop into a very worthwhile wine, 2025 forward. That's the '05 vintage.
