February 18, 2023 - Purple fruits, but not as much meaty and olivey flavors as I would normally expect from Carignan. Smokey fruit and acid dominate. Strong acid and thin texture make this wine good with food, but side by side with the Shelter Cab Sauv from Napa and the Isole and Olena Cab Sauv from Tuscany, this wasn’t the standout wine. Shines with spicy food though.
