  December 16, 2014 - Beautiful older Cali Syrah. There was a window of time that I really enjoyed the wines from Bella - this must be in that window. Round, full bodied and pure essence of new world syrah. Perfect to drink this now....

  March 30, 2014 - The bouquet is earthy forest floor with hints of dark fruit. After letting it breathe for about 30 minutes, the wine gives up flavors of plums, dark cherries, raisin, and vanilla with just a hint of mocha and licorice on the finish. The tannins are nice and soft, but the acid structure is getting a little light. Time to drink this one up.

  August 4, 2013 - Dark purple and opaque. Nose of dark fruit, meat and cedary smoke. Same characteristics in the mouth plus a tad of vanilla, pepper and spices. Medium plus tannins and acid. Medium to long finish.

  May 9, 2011 - Smoke and meat (bacon fat) on the nose with layers of plum and berries. medium-length finish. A very lovely Syrah.
