August 8, 2021 - Medium to light body but lots of concentration. Slightly too much acid on its own. When I had let this go 6+ hours, it seemed to go dumb, but it also feels primary before that. Still, this is pretty pleasing to my palate. I usually prefers a Volnay, Chambolle or Morey to a Vosne.
Drank this w/ some taleggio cheese after a couple hour decant. Drank the rest of the bottle through coravin a couple other nights (with anywhere from 2-6 hours in the glass). -

February 7, 2020 - Acker 2020/02: Charming nose very characteristic to Brûlées, but light and bitter palate. 90

November 22, 2017 - Can’t put it better than Ryan Foss did two years ago, and the wine hasn’t changed much since then. Starts very high toned and uncoils with a nice decant. Eventually shows some papery subtlety. Probably at peak in 2021 but not necessary to hold off.

December 19, 2015 - Man I'm sad to see these two go, as this really needs another 5-10 years to reach its apogee. Lots going on here: complexity, Vosne spice, structure, fantastic balance, velvet in the mouth, but still a boatload of tannin left. Maybe this is just an overlooked producer, but he really nailed it this year. Wish I waited, but alas...likely a 94 in another 3-4 years.
