January 15, 2024 - This has evolved beautifully. Still with youthful dark berry fruit, but now layered with roasted meat, balsamic and dried leaves. Structure is beautifully matched and contributes to experience of palate persistence. Matched well with braised chicken and risotto.

March 11, 2023 - Double decanted 3h before back to mid shoulder level.

Fully secondary tertiary nose. Mushrooms, wet earth, underbrush, dried plums. Palate is another story. Absolutely bright and alive. Great tension from acid and tannin. Bright red cherries and fruit with a touch of age, sweet tobacco, truffles. Finish transitions to dried rocky earth, very dry cherry and berries, big tannic structure. Very complex over time. Finish just goes on forever. Not everyone’s palate preference but the quality is undeniable. 94+

Recommend proper decant for two hours. Tons of structure to support more cellaring but is in a great place now.

November 5, 2022 - A very good expression but still clearly from a huge vintage with tons of structure. Decant softened but took away from some of it's best qualities. The wine we left in the bottle, showed much better after a couple hours of air.

October 18, 2022 - Over the hill, should have been drunk up some 5 - 10 years ago. I'm sure this used to be a great wine, today only flakes remain of what it used to be. But still not a bad wine, only too old.

    January 29, 2022 - Drinking like an 04 or 06, still youthful.
