June 7, 2021 - Mostly dark fruit: raisins, dark cherries. Reminiscent of cherry cola, maybe. Rather pleasant but not special. Time to drink up if you got any.
July 7, 2020 - Perhaps the best petite sirah I've had. Obviously this is a big wine, but also smooth, with no sign of either alcohol or sugar, and well-integrated tannins. Dark fruits, and really notable sandalwood. At its best on 2nd night, but excellent the first too. I don't think this will get any better with time, but I see no sign of its demise either.
July 6, 2020 - Wow, for $30 this is really an amazing bottle of wine. Dark and crystalline color. Super concentrated dark fruits. Wonderful balance with background tannin and a just right touch of acidity. Wish I had more. Drink or hold.
March 20, 2019 - This wine was good but had almost too much concentrated fruit. I am going to hold my last bottle a few years to see if the fruit fades a little.
January 20, 2018 - Found in back of cellar. P n p. Big as expected. Somewhat monolithic. Big dark fruits. Tannins still present. Held up to lamb dinner. Still alive on night 2.
January 3, 2018 - This wine is a fruit bomb right no. Big nose with floral and vanilla. On the palate, loads of dark berries and still a bit of tannin in the background. I believe this will continue to evolve.
May 3, 2016 - Turned.
December 11, 2014 - Intense, but not in a good way. Food is a must; worked okay with chicken parm in a tomato sauce. But even on the second day it remained dense, tannic and a struggle to enjoy.
November 26, 2014 - Just not a fan of this wine. So sweet, too jammy, not much on the tongue or finish
May 28, 2014 - big wine. fruit and earth in balance. drink now or age.
