July 20, 2016 - A bottle with less than pristine provenance and it showed. Ever so slightly advanced with a subtle mature nutty quality lurking beneath pear and citrus notes. Apple, citrus, vanilla and hazelnut on the palate.

December 28, 2015 - At home with Jonathan and Marissa, had this with my pesto and some cheeses to start the evening. Chilled and opened for 30 minutes, drank over an hour. Was concerned that this may have been past time based on other notes. Perfectly stored bottle from release...

Color has become a deep gold. Nose of tropical fruits, petrol (Riesling-like), oak. Palate was tropical fruit, caramel vanilla oak, butterscotch. Creamy texture, and still buttery but not overly so...Long and layered finish.

Peter Michael is consistently great Chardonnay, this one has aged nicely but is at or past its peak depending on your bottle. I got lucky with this last bottle being in a perfect spot, end of my stash so I got lucky. Would suggest to drink now before it declines.

July 17, 2015 - At home with baked salmon. From the fridge, has been waiting to be opened.

Rich golden color, nose of tropical fruits and oak. Has aged elegantly and still has a vibrancy to it. Palate repeats with long finish of caramel, vanilla oak, quince, butterscotch. Creamy, long finish. This bottle was more "buttery" than I recall prior bottles - so you'll have to like the CA Chard style...

Beautiful wine that has shown its chops at its 10 year mark, well made and aging gracefully. Still has a way to go...
