June 24, 2021 - Great herbal Franconia Riesling wine, made up with selected grapes from the steepest parts of famous south-facing ‘Am Lumpen’ vineyard (located in the municipality of Escherndorf, about 20 kilometers northeast of the city of Würzburg). It is fermented with wild yeasts and then matured for ten months on its fine lees. Beautiful bright straw-yellow in color and a very complex nose displaying scents of green apple, orange peel, rhubarb and also some nuances of petrol and flint. Concentrated stone and citrus fruit on the powerful and well-balanced palate, laced with a really tangy acid structure and a steely minerality. Persistent spicy finish with intense mineral reverberations. This wine is still too young now and should develop nicely with 3–4 additional years of cellaring.

December 24, 2020 - 2.8 grams of residual sugar with an acidity of 7.8 grams and 13% alcohol. Pale straw color. Very aromatic ripe nose of yellow apple, melon, orange peel, flowers. Wine is fruity with vibrant acidity, and high in minerality.

October 17, 2019 - VDP. Grosses Gewachs Tasting (Army and Navy Club, London): Bright, green, minty, lemon zest, green bean freshness, prickly acidity, lemon, lime, unripe pear and green apple in the palate, 13.5%, medium body and finish.
Probably freshly opened bottle, needs time
