January 6, 2024 - Grippy tannins. Dark fruits. Did not improve with air.
August 5, 2023 - Tried a year ahead of recommended first date. Paired very well with lamb. Can’t wait to try it again next year.
April 9, 2023 - similar tasting notes, black fruit. still lots of life ahead of this one
April 22, 2022 - Might be my favorite Fergy.
April 10, 2022 - Opened the 2017 by accident instead of the 2012. Understandably, better on day 2, with the tannins softening a little and the flavors becoming more integrated. Really enjoyable with cassis, berries, and good acidity. I think the secondary flavors would come out more with time, and it should improve further.
January 1, 2022 - Was good with rib roast
November 25, 2021 - black colors and flavors. Black graphite, espresso, chocolate, and blackberries.
August 14, 2021 - An outstanding value for those seeking a top quality WA cab that will not break the bank. In fact, some would even call it a steal at $50. Suffice to say, imagine the archetypal WA cab, then add notions of ripe ruby red grapefruit. The results are astonishingly good as they are delicious. The 2017 is drinking well now. One can only imagine how good it will be in 1-2 years. Probably a 95-97 at that point. Exquisite now and for the near future.
August 6, 2021 - Maybe the best Cab I’ve had from Washington?
June 8, 2021 - Deep, dark, reddish-purple garnet in color bordering on opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe dark fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries, plums & cassis with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, some mint, herbs, spices, minerals, dark cocoa & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Full to medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, herbs, earthy, cocoa, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but needs & should continue to develop further with additional aging at which time it may rate even higher.
