September 7, 2019 - Mosel trip; 9/6/2019-9/7/2019: *** brief notes, no rating, for my own memory ***
Tasted at the winery from Zalto Glas. I must admit, I am not a fan of dry Zilliken GGs. I did not pre-order some bottles, but bought some after tasting. Bockstein is the first vintage for Zilliken. Only one barrel made. A bit darker than the Kupp, but also very playful and mouthwatering. Good, ripe acidity. Lightweight without being simple. Only 12% abv. About 8 gram of residual sugar. Potential is currently hard to rate. I think I would try my first bottle now, or in 5 years. 90-91 -
