June 4, 2022 - Rosso dei notri Tua Rita 2018 Toscana. IgT. Virker som mye sangiovese. 14 prosent. Veldig italiensk frukt, morell, litt «varm» men ikke helt uten egenskaper på smak. Gir kirsebærfrukt, lær osv. Må drikkes lett avkjølt. Oppfører seg som en barbera. 85-86 p
December 13, 2021 - Medium ruby color. Aromas of cherry, blueberry, mushroom, graphite, tobacco, and light funk. Lighter side of medium body, medium (-) acid and finish as well, with flavors of cherry, plum, lemon, and a bit of iodine. Fairly simple, straightforward Italian wine that's veering a bit international here. Not really getting a sense of place or varieties used here, but maybe that's not the point in this bottling. Pizza/pasta wine for non-contemplative enjoyment.
November 21, 2021 - A deep nose, dark cherries, some peppery notes, it is made in a very approachable style, now a lot of tennis, more on the fresh, sweet side, but nicely drinking
July 3, 2021 - Medium Body and Color. Great with lighter Italian foods.
June 18, 2021 - The first pour from the bottle had me concerned as the wine appeared to be light in color. Forget the color the grapes were delicious, and was terrific with Italian food. Don't let the color fool you.
The moral to this story: sometimes you got to give it a second try, I'm glad that AS made me buy it.
May 11, 2021 - Pop and pour and tasted with food (pulled pork in a tomato-vinegar based BBQ sauce, in case you were wondering) and then tasted on its own.
Dark ruby color.
Nose offers some red berries, plums and wood. A little dusty, like old wooden used wine vats.
Shows that dirty element on the palate along with some dried cherries, cocoa powder, plum and mushroom notes as well.
Drinkable but nothing too exciting.
May 1, 2021 - Good, easy drinking, drank a while back so no details!
November 13, 2020 - Not for me; but acceptable for most. This was lighter in body and color, but still was fruit forward. In a sentence, it was one and done for us.
June 30, 2020 - Sangiovese/ cab/ merlot blend
spicy nose, violets
Bitter cherry on the palate and then sweet plummy fruit
Tastes like a bit of a clash at the moment but may settle down with time in the bottle.
February 17, 2020 - Opened 30 minutes before drinking. Colour dark cherry. It took a while for the nose to open up, showing cherry and damson fruit, aromatics including rosemary, thyme, also some leather. This slips down easily as long as it's with food, perhaps pizza and pasta. Good balance of tannins and acidity, more cherries and some charcoal. Medium length. In summary, it's a good supper wine if you can get it at a good price.
