April 23, 2024 - Beautiful RR pinot. Body, fruit, finish.

January 3, 2024 - The Holidays With Wine (Home is where the cellar is): My favorite wine of the season. Quite concentrated for a pinot and especially so for a W-S pinot. But despite the depth and power, it was smooth and clean. Drank quite “blue” with deep flavors of blackberry and blueberry but benefited from spicy accents of clove and garrigue. Seemed to be in a good place right now.

August 31, 2023 - This is exceptional. Enjoying with sushi.

Nice balance, the age has smoothed this out nicely. Fruit is still nice and front and center, more red fruit. But with some of the fats of the sushi some rich, Forrest floor flavors come out. Nice mellow tannins that don’t distract from the experience.

As it opened over 45-60 minutes, subtle black cherry notes.

June 10, 2023 - A bit muted upon opening, so give it a little bit to wake up. Cola and baking spice on the nose. Raspberry, blackberry, and nutmeg on the palate. Medium-long finish with baking spice that slowly fades.

May 6, 2022 - Nose of cola, cloves, and nutmeg. Bold fruit on the palate, with tons of baking spice and a finish that lasts almost two minutes. Wow.
