August 24, 2019 - Mike Smith 2018s & 2017s - Myriad, Quivet, Scarlett, Becklyn, and others (Saint Helena): Very similar to the Sun Chase, if not a little lighter on its feet overall in terms of depth of flavor and elongated finish, the Sangiacomo impresses for its freshness and purity of higher-toned red fruit. Rhubarb, strawberry, orange peel, and some vanilla cream on the back end, this is an agreeable, medium-bodied animal all the way through. Even better with food. Drink now and over the next 3+ years.
