August 2, 2014 - I had 2 bottles left of a case... And this one was bad. Terrible shame as this was fantastic wine.
I will still try bottle 12 with high hopes it will be different.

November 4, 2012 - Patience is rewarded. This is developing beautifully.

September 4, 2010 - Notes for my last bottle, in September '09, indicated that this wine had sweet and savory components to it. Well, savory has taken over, and the wine is the worse for it. On the nose, strong mushroom and forest floor elements, with unsweetened chocolate, and a hint of red fruit lurking underneath. The mushroom and earth notes continue on the palate. Tannins are gone and the wine tastes flat and boring. Might have been good with a wild rice/mushroom dish, but otherwise . . . . blah.

May 30, 2010 - Sonoma coast fruit characteristics for sure. Nice fruit and drinking well right now.

March 28, 2010 - big fruit upon opening mellowing into almost a sherry sweetness

(Sojourn Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast) (NB: This was listed on the program as the Sojourn "Sangiacomo Vineyard," which I've had a few times, and quite enjoyed, as I have the Sonoma Coast. The winemaker, Erich Bradley, sitting on my right, identified it in blindtasting, from the color and other characteristics, as the Sojourn Sonoma Coast. Sure enough, there was at least one bottle of the Sonoma Coast poured, along with a few bottles of the "Sangiacomo Vineyard." So some of us had one and some the other. Both are very good Pinots.) – medium raspberry red color, with a touch of brown, a clear meniscus, and a little cloudiness; sexy, plummy, raspberry and floral nose; rich palate of plum, rosehips; cherry and a spice element (cardamom?); medium-plus finish 92+ pts. (my WOTF, tied for 2nd WOTF for the assembled group) (When Erich spoke about his wine, thinking it was the Sonoma Coast, he attributed the slight browning to some botrytis that was present in the grapes when picked, and that they sorted to eliminate. From a single clone, the 777.)
