July 21, 2023 - Still super Oakey first

Black tea leaves after aeration, it reminder me first of an extracted Australian shiraz... oaky and hyper fruity !

The Chinese black tea, or Russian breakfast makes it more interesting afterwards, with high acidity, lots of fruit, cassis, sweet berries...

I have trouble to rank it higher, as much as it still has potential, and body, and acid, and fruit... it's just super modern !!! some might give it a 92ish but I believe it is not refined nor very subtle... still very much alive ! Giaconda 's Aeolian steels the show

June 13, 2022 - Compared to my last bottle, the oak was not that noticeable. However, at a score of 92, this is at the lower end of the qpr. Lots of sediment in the bottle as well, making the last 2 glasses virtually undrinkable

November 21, 2021 - Pnp. 4 years since my last bottle. Still a fairly dark garnet with a widening translucent rim. Initially some oak but blows off with a bit of air. Wonderful Tuscan freshness despite the hot year, a relatively moderate 14% alcohol helps, plenty of spices, dark fruit but not overripe, tannins still fairly present. Still a long life ahead.

August 8, 2020 - A bit disjointed at the moment. There is definitely a high quality of fruit (dark fruits, intense without being hot and jammy). The wine is well structured. The high (too high?) tannins are not well integrated and feels quite harsh. There is yet not much of other Syrah's aromas (floral, spices, meat ..).
I don't have a lot of pleasure to drink it now but there is potential for the wine to develop and integrate well, even if I am not sure the tannins can become much less green. I won't open my second bottle before 10 years.

October 3, 2017 - juicy, with an interesting funk on the nose, medium to long finish. Much better than previous bottle.

September 10, 2017 - Lots of torrefaction, burnt rubber. Oxidative. Probably not a representative bottle.
