May 13, 2022 - Medium straw color - rose tint
Medium aromas of gooseberry and strong fresh herbal notes
Medium bodied with palate of ripe lemon/ tarragon and grass
Medium plus acidity - laser sharp with medium alcohol and medium length
Little dilute on the palate and a little out of synch
Not sure if this might improve with time - almost feels tight
This was better next day so would prob hold

February 2, 2022 - Pale ('white' not golden) and very clear in the glass, pure white wine on the palate--no wood, no citrus or apricot or pineapple, etc. or highly floral notes. In some ways hard to describe! Perhaps a hint of pear on the nice finish. Very good.

January 26, 2022 - Wow, what a great bottle of white wine. Somewhere between Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc (the Garagiste says it’s Sauvignon Blanc). Yum, only problem is I’m running out, with no offer of the 2020’s yet.

February 5, 2021 - Presuming that this bottle is sound and healthy (and so is the taster), a dramatic and disappointing drop-off compared to the prior three. It still has a nice chiseling and texture, but much of the nice bouquet and fruit seems to have lost intensity and persistence. Can a VdF blanc have a dumb phase? If not, there’s either huge bottle variation or this just may be on its way out.

November 19, 2020 - This has been open for an hour now. Aromas are light, but pretty, and smell of the sea with some lemon squeezed on it. Palate is the best part; incredibly pure and pretty, with notes again of the sea, quartz and other minerals, lemon, kiwi, and some lemon. Really full and complete, fruity mouth feel. There's a hint of acid here as well... what a wonderful palate! Oh so pretty. The longer you keep it in the mouth, the more zippy fruit notes that crop up. Feeling surprisingly full on the finish after all that frothing in the mouth, it goes down beautifully and complete, with a caressing texture that's wonderful. Here too do you get notes of preserved lemons, pineapple, minerals, and a mild day at the sea. What a very nice wine.

October 14, 2020 - Absolutely nothing on the nose, but quite nice on the palate. Hints of pears, peaches, citrus, lanolin and white flowers. Crisp and juicy on the palate. Very clean and focused. Decent QPR here.

March 9, 2020 - Second bottle. Followed for two days open and it did not want to deliver quite the same cohesion and fabulous bouquet of the first one. I still find it delicious and unique, though this time in a more Rhone/Viognier sense than before. There's a light medicinal note that I kind of like but I think it's due to the alcohol showing a bit more relevantly. Either way, I re-upped for two more from the 'giste. 5+11+17+8= 91

January 14, 2020 - An awesome little gem. Light straw in color with a bright, clear body.
Crisp, tart, and refreshing mouthfeel but still luscious enough to have significant length on the palate with flavors of apple, kiwi, mango, cumquat, and pineapple. The bouquet includes jasmine, citrus, and honey-roasted nuts. The alcohol is completely in check and balance. Blind, I would have called Chardonnay but I really don’t know what the blend is here. A great accompaniment to tonight’s swordfish.
