March 30, 2024 - Nothing like the 2015. Much brighter and clean without the earthiness. But still very good.

May 5, 2023 - After trying my first and truly fine Areni Noir from Voskevaz I was happy to stumble upon this one, however not as refined and balanced. Vines located at 1400 meters of altitude, aged in amphoras for 12 months and 6 months in bottle. Deep ruby colour. Medium intensity aroma of cherries, plums, licorice, earth, herbal and spice hints. Medium body, dry but with sweetish edges, medium intensity flavours of red fruits, sweet spices, chocolate, licorice, medium acidity and medium- tannins.

January 19, 2023 - Dark Rhône like aromas with blackcurrant, chocolate and black pepper. Powerful and a bit sweet in the mouth, with rather hefty tannins. Needs food, or some years in the cellar.

October 8, 2021 - A nice food wine, good pairing for oriental lamb dishes. A unique wine for sure: reminds me of Syrah with extra spices along with herbal notes and sweet liqorice. For me the liqorice notes are bit much. It’s not bad and worth a try for sure, but I prefer other wines in this price range.
