July 24, 2019 - Cotes de Bordeaux Trip; 7/23/2019-7/27/2019: Nose of cranberries, cherries, violets, menthol, peppercorns, chewing tobacco. Nice grip balances with medium acidity. Tangy cherries, red currants and crunchy plums mix with peppercorns, coffee and dark chocolate. A bit of a green edge (not too much), there’s also more oak evidence in this vintage (which was dialed back later). I think a few years will do this good.
