July 24, 2019 - Cotes de Bordeaux Trip; 7/23/2019-7/27/2019: The nose is juicy, dark, but vibrant, with pretty cherries and currants topped in earthy, coffee, mint and clove notes. Serious grip but vibrant with fresh acidity, and it all balances well with dark yet crisp cherries and cassis fruit. Lively, fresh and bright, but shows the depth and complexity for long aging. This was one of the prettiest reds I tasted on the trip. I am so loving 2016 reds from this region.
