December 19, 2023 - This is more balanced than a year ago. The herbal notes are much more integrated. Excellent depth on a relatively lighter cab sauv.
I imagine that this will be terrific in 2 years. 93+

December 2, 2023 - Very perfumed and lifted red cassis. Well balanced and fine tannins.

June 4, 2023 - After hearing this wine needs anywhere from 3 hours to 3 weeks of decanting, I opted for a solid 9 hours. My biggest takeaway is this wine needs time in the bottle, not the decanter. Aromas of dark fruit, herbs and a hint of menthol. Not a shy nose at all. I taste cherries, astringent acid, and some tobacco in the background and on the finish. This is soft and round for a young wine, yet somehow austere at the same time. Night 2 the perfumed nose has faded and the herbs and spice have moved forward. The freshness of night 1 has lost a step in favor of a cedary, minty, cherry fullness that hints at what's to come. This is good wine. In a couple of years it will be very good wine. Is it the second coming? Not my call to make. But between this and the Chuy Chard I had recently, I'm happy to participate.

December 11, 2022 - Gave this 3-4 hours of air before serving. C wasn’t digging it, thought it a little funky to finish but I thought it was very good. Mix of dark fruits with a lot of cherry notes, nice acidity, a little herbal to finish.

August 26, 2022 - Interesting wine. Heavily herbal and perfumed, light body for a cab (medium overall), with high acid. Energetic and a little surprising. Complex. Almost a hair out of balance given the perfume, but overall very well made and enjoyable.

This wine is made to age. Give it 5-10 years and/or a long decant.
