January 6, 2024 - Solid bottle. A little light on the mid palate over the 2 hours we were drinking it, but similar to another bottle we had recently, I wonder if it's in a bit of a dumb phase right now. Holding the other bottle for 2 years to see how it shakes out.

June 13, 2023 - Stood up for 2 wks. Decanted off fine sediment. Now 1 h after decant. Aromas of lovely for red and black cherries, din some sweet bark, a bit of eucalyptus. Palate w ripe, a bit candied red cherries, bark, herbs, a hint of sous bois, and minerals. Very nice acids on a medium body. Nice fruity finish w mild tannins. Lingering alcoholic heat on finish. Elegant texture. This is young but also has good potential for greater complexity with some more age. The only thing that bothers meet here is alcoholic finish which becomes fairly noticeable as the wine warms. Would definitely drink the wine around cellar temp or just a bit warmer. Otherwise, a young but very nice wine with nice potential. 90+

February 22, 2023 - This pinot-- Vincent Armstrong 2017 is gorgeous. Med+ on the nose, complex, with this beautiful crunchy “red delicious apple”, cranberry, raspberry, cherry, black liquorish, +++. The crunchy red apple reminded me of a mature blanc de noir vintage champagne. Palate matches the nose. Med + acid. Silky tannins–turning slightly sandy on the finish. I want to describe this as youthful certainly visually shows little aging, having said that on the palate there is some wonderful earthy/rocky flavors underpinning the fruit. It is bright, it is very precise. The finish is long. No decant. Drank over 2 hrs. Riedel burgundy stemware. I look forward to seeing where this wine goes. Drink now…cause it really is gorgeous. Hold because in 2-3 it will be even better.

February 11, 2023 - Very much unlike our first bottle of this - opened with lots of nail polish remover and unfortunately didn't recover.
