December 30, 2020 - Strawberry, blueberry, rhubarb, but a deep brooding darkness not seen in a lot of D&R wines. This is truly living up to the hype, but given the acid and heavy tannins, best to put into the cellar and forget about.

July 6, 2020 - Gorgeous nose, up there with the best D&R's in my memory - elegant floral tarragon juicy red framboise. Man, just so balanced and deep and interesting and (yes) gulpable. Nice acid on the finish, enough fine tannins to tell me this will go many years more, but eminently drinkable now. How many wines do all that? Legends. (55% Rosewood Old Vine Carignane and 45% Rosewood Old Vine Mourvèdre) ((Update: 1 hour in, bumped up the score a point because it is just.that.good.)

Light, bright and eminently gulpable. Very good length and balance. Great everyday quaffer. Reminiscent, in that way, of the Familiar.

November 5, 2019 - Received from a friend. First experience with the producer. Was advised to decant for awhile if opening soon (which I did). 55/45 Old vine Mourvèdre and Carignan blend. Wild nose on this and sinfully delicious on the palate. Strikes me as incredibly nimble even at this young stage and could pair well with a wide range of food. Stands up on its own as well. Super intrigued by this and very happy to have experienced it. If all Mourvèdre smelled and tasted like this...well a hell of a lot more folks would be drinking it.

November 1, 2019 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Mostly blind, some double blind (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Really grapy and someone calls two buck chuck. Grapy leads me to Barbera. Fresh Welch’s grape juice. Natural wine, perhaps neutral oak or stainless. My next guess is Jura red. If you love natural wine, you will find this to your liking. Interesting wine.
