September 14, 2023 - Didn’t realize I had this a mere six months ago. Meant to wait longer between bottles. Sorry, not sorry.
Still lots of black fruit on the nose and palate, but definitely some more tobacco, cedar, and leather starting to show through. Even with a lot of restraint I’ll probably drink all of my bottles before this hits its peak.
March 18, 2023 - This wine just keeps getting better. Strong red fruit, baking spice, and maybe a bit of cedar. Built for the long haul. At least 10 years left.
January 22, 2022 - Last bottle and did not disappoint. Beautiful juice and this is a good Walla Walla Cab at an exceptional price.
December 12, 2021 - Blackberry and baking spice on the noose, with some oak and hints of leather. Similar flavors, with the fruit and spice competing for prominence, with the result being superb balance. Big bodied, smooth and firm tannins, long finish.
January 15, 2021 - Similar notes to last time. Cassis and blackberry with leather, spice, and tobacco. Velvety tannins, big body, long finish.
August 26, 2020 - Wonderfu nose. Blackberry and cassis up front, followed quickly by leather, spice, and oak. Medium body with silky tannins. Lighter black fruit flavor on the palate (similar flavors, just a bit less intense than the nose) with oak and spice balancing the fruit. Finish tends to spice. Very nice.
July 26, 2020 - Paired with grilled NY Strips, fresh corn and a caprese salad. Very good. Similar notes to June 2020
June 8, 2020 - Similar notes to 2019. Drinking fabulously.
April 20, 2020 - Super tasty can with earthy tones and great fruits.
October 18, 2019 - Great Cab nose! Fruit, earth, leather & spice. In the mouth, big red fruit, medium tannins, more spice and hints of cola. Very enjoyable and this is a 2016. Really nice Cab. Drink now or wait. Delicious.
