March 1, 2023 - Fragrent nose hints at a complex flavour but vupon tasting it was very very bound up and unyielding. Tannins overwhelming and masked fruit flavor. Clearly has potential and is a well structured wine. Even opened 3 days the wine barely opened up. Open again in 5 years.

August 19, 2022 - No decant, but opened bottle in poured a glass two hours before drinking. Unyielding, bitter, sour, and tannic, very hard to coax fruit from this wine. 1 hour later after dinner was the first sign of life. I do agree there is potential here but very closed and shut down at the moment.

September 1, 2021 - Pale garnet colored. Restrained nose with soft dark and red berry notes and some spices. A little tight on the palate too - soft red fruit notes and some nice menthol notes. Medium bodied with a medium acidity. Tannins are a little edgy in the moment and not integrated yet. Good structure and complexity. The finish is medium long.
A very enjoyable Barbaresco but it is too young in the moment, wait another 4 years before uncorking a bottle of the 2016 vintage. (IG)

January 8, 2021 - Wow, tremendous potential here. Double-decanted the night before for 3 hours, this med/med+ body wine offers exceptional freshness, balance and, again, potential. Those already familiar with the producer should consider a case purchase, though be aware this will need at least (for my palate) 5-7 years to truly begin to be in the zone. Should last for decades. Beautiful, power and elegance, with exceptional structure. HOLD. highly recommended+
